The customer reached out with a photo of a 1920s chambray popover, and asked if I could replicate it based on my 6-Button Blouse pattern. Coincidentally, I’d been wanting to make a shirt with these details, so it was a great excuse to try a chin strap, pleated pockets, and the surprisingly tricky selvedge side seam gussets.

I updated the fit a little from the original, and sourced some gorgeous 1960s selvedge chambray for the job. Buttons are antique cow bone.
