Slow Process is pleased to share the first pieces in an ongoing collaboration with the lovely folks at Barge Canal Market.

The “Letter Man” Jacket and matching ‘Mail Tote’ are cut & sewn from two West German ‘Deutsche Bundespost’ air mail bags dating to the 1950s. Pairing a classic workwear silhouette with ephemeral details like mismatched antique corozo buttons, these pieces pay tribute to the hardworking, dependable, and simple beauty of the postal service. Additional details include ‘envelope’ patch pockets, interior chest pocket, flat-felled seams, and cuff straps.

MAIL TOTE

An original Slow Process design, the matching Mail Tote is cut from a single piece of fabric. With a few smart tucks, we both create a flat bottom and avoid the need for bottom seams, making it functional and long-lasting.

Jacket is size M/L. Jacket and Tote may be purchased as a set or individually.
Hand wash and hang dry is recommended. No shrinkage is expected.
