Due to popular demand, we’re expanding upon our ‘Windrow Vest’ with the ‘Windrow Shirt.’ This run is limited to just two (2) pieces, with an expected production time of 2-3 weeks.

Every New England outerwear brand of the last century has their classic two-pocket wool overshirt. Consider the ‘Windrow Shirt’ our offering to this tradition. Cut from the same soft & spongy New England wool as our vests, we incorporate a mixture of two different twill weaves for subtle contrast throughout the garment. These fabrics are left undyed to preserve the natural color of the sheep’s fleece, with each weave highlighting the wool’s rich, heathered tones.

For a comfortable wear, we were lucky to source a small amount of ‘Skinner’s Satin,’ an antique silk produced in Holyoke, MA from the late 1840s-early 1960s. These silk accents can be found inside the neck, under the cuffs, and under the pocket flaps.

We’re proud to say that every step of making this garment happened within 150 miles of the SP studio. It’s clothing connected to a specific place and time, and one spun directly from the lives of the people who live here.

The ‘Windrow Shirt’ fits true-to-size. With the wool’s natural stretch, we don’t find it necessary to size up unless you prefer a roomier fit or plan to layer.

Care: Hand wash in cool water with a delicate wool soap. Dry flat to avoid stretching.
