The ‘Stadium Buttondown’ is a long-sleeved play on our classic jersey with button-down lapels and curved patch pocket. These shirts were borne from experimenting with the remnants in our antique fabric collection. Constrained by the sizes of these offcuts, each garment uniquely balances pattern, texture, weight, and color to produce a true 1-of-1.

This shirt is cut from an antique French tablecloth and a handwoven cream linen, both stunning and substantial. The tablecloth’s “satin block” checker pattern is subtly textured, and its original monogrammed ‘W & C’ is preserved on the pocket. The addition of the cream on the back and sleeves adds a rustic element. The cloth has the classic sheen of high quality linen along with a nubbiness that’s special to antique handwoven goods.

Please note that this is a heavyweight garment—not like the linen shirt you have in your closet. Wear it as a shirt or overshirt, suitable for daily wear or a celebration.

Fits true-to-size with room through the torso. Recommended hand wash cold/hang dry.
