This shirt is cut & sewn from a vintage Battenburg lace tablecloth c. 1940s. The cream cotton is intercut with sections of sprawling tan lace reminiscent of a fisherman’s net or a creature’s scales. To accentuate this gorgeous design, the sections of lace are cut symmetrically for the garment. We love the small floral embroidery woven in, and have preserved the original lace border to be repurposed as the shirt’s hem.
